Over the last couple of weeks my symptoms seem to have got worse - much more discomfort in more joints. I'm not due to go back to the hospital until Jan. I feel weak and wobbly and my muscles ache. My sore joints are burning and this radiates up my arms and up my legs. Is this what happens with RA or should I see my GP in case I've something else wrong and am merely attributing the symptoms to RA. Whatever it is, it's not pleasant! Confused Would appreciate any comments or advice anyone may have

What you are describing sounds like classic RA symptoms but your GP or rheumy nurse should be able to tell you. Trouble is, of course your flare coincides with Christmas shut-down so you may have to wait a few days. That said, if your local 111 service is one of the good ones then will be able to get some advice from them.

What pain relief do you use? Are you able to take NSAID's? Are you on max dose already or do you have scope to increase them?

Hexham - Northumberland - Loads of spectacular walks - all I need now are the joints to go with them! :)

Paul has given you good advice, I couldn't add any more.

I will say - don't suffer, get someone to give you some help.

Hello,

We've been there and understand how uncomfortable you must feel.
Speaking from experience I went to a & e when I had a bad flare, couldn't walk just shuffle like an old person.
I was admitted for the nite and given steroids to get me moving.

I know it's the holidays hence don't forget hospital a & e are there for us to use.
Take care
YOU are not alone.
